We are currently experiencing dramatic growth in the number of new and expanding venues we presently manage and operate. Because of our tremendous growth, we are currently seeking a talented, motivated, and experienced DIRECTOR OF PURCHASING to oversee our food service operations at our Home Office in Lutz (Tampa), FL.

The Director of Purchasing is responsible for delivering business results, including supply assurance, cost, quality, service and innovation with respect to overall food procurement for all US and Canadian venues. This role is responsible for evaluating and managing the supplier selection process for specified commodities in a strategic manner, at the best possible price consistent with acceptable quality standards, quantity, and reliability of source.  This position develops and provides ongoing forecasts and supply position recommendations regarding assigned commodity categories.  The Director of Purchasing will support the development and testing of new and value-added products for menu additions by evaluating the capability and capacity of suppliers, as well as negotiation on price. 

The Director of Purchasing role places a critical emphasis on managing supplier relationships in accordance with Ovations' commitment to ethical business practices and professional integrity.  By strategically sourcing large product/food groups from a pool of select preferred suppliers, the Director of Purchasing will be responsible for developing stricter purchasing guidelines, and setting high expectations for consistent quality, service and delivery times.  By providing enhanced strategic sourcing and inventory management, this key position will contribute to the greater operating efficiency of Ovations. 

Bachelor of Arts/Sciences in Business Administration, Hospitality/Foodservice Management, Economics, Agricultural Economics, Logistical Planning, Finance or related field.  Minimum eight years foodservice purchasing experience, preferably in a multi-state contract foodservice headquarters procurement organization with at least five years of purchasing management experience.  Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation a plus.
